The T7316 phone
is the appropriate phone for most users on the Norstar system based on its cost
and functionality. The main advantages over the T7208 phone which is a
level below it are:

2-line display with Softkey
operation.
This greatly increases the
user-friendliness of the phone, especially for voice mail. The display
provides context-based visual prompts which are activated by pressing the button
below the prompt. For example, when you have a message, the display will
show the prompt "MSG". Pressing the button below the prompt, accesses your
mailbox. This is easier than pressing the Feature button and entering the
code "980".

24-programmable buttons:
The
buttons are used for lines, intercom, features and one-touch speed dialing.
This allows significant flexibility in customizing the phone for maximum
efficiency. For example, a user can program a button that will light up to
show when another user is on the phone as well providing one-touch calling to
that user.
